2011: Presented a session on the incentives policymakers have to use research and expertise in their decision making at a conference on evidence informed policymaking, organised by INASP in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
2011: Presented a session on influencing policy and practice to NGOs and political parties in Tblisi, Georgia, organised by International IDEA
2009: Provided a tutorial to participants at the ACACIA research and learning forum on influencing policy and practice in 2009
2011: Presented a session on lessons from and approaches to policy dialogue including encouraging participants to use a stakeholder mapping tool at a conference, organised by the EU in Lesotho
2011: Presented a session on incentives policymakers have to draw on research and expertise, drawing on experience from Indonesia at a conference organised by INASP held at St Catherine’s College Oxford.
2013: Presented a session on the role and relevance of think tanks in Africa with a focus on the case of Uganda at a conference which explored whether or not supporting African think tanks generates a tangible effect on decision making and policy processes – held at the University of Oxford’s Rothermere American Institute.
2010: Facilitated a day long workshop on influencing policy and practice at the SOQUA summer school in Austria whose theme was evidence-based policy-making and social impact assessment, in 2010.
